WE LOVE OUR VOLUNTEERS! As a 100% volunteer operation, the Veterans’ Independence Day Celebration could not succeed without the hard work and dedication of our volunteers helping us serve our veterans’ on this special day. On July 3 and July 4 we have more than 200 volunteer positions available to help in this grand event.
Food Service volunteers will help prepare food, grill, resupply the show-line, serve food to the guests in the park and deliver food to the patients inside the hospital.
Park Operations
Park Operations volunteers perform a variety of duties including traffic control, keeping Patriot Park litter-free, assisting vendors and VIDC staff in coordinating the many activities and set-up/tear-down for the event.
Entertainment
Entertainment volunteers primarily work in the Children’s Play Zone and assist if needed with the Car Show, roving entertainers and as stage crew.
Please note: While we hope to place every volunteer in the volunteer group(s) selected we will move volunteers around as needed before and during the event
